This figure is based off the famous photo of Marine M4A2 Sherman “Killer” on Iwo Jima after recovering a destroyed Japanese light tank. I’ve had numerous requests for a Marine tank commander, or full crew. Given the constraints of building tanks in Lego usually just allowing for one figure to be displayed out of the cupula, I’ve chosen just do the commander this time around. Based off images on Saipan and Iwo Jima, this figure would be a great option for Marine tanks serving through most of WWII.
